We are currently providing support to 25 single mothers, each of whom has anywhere from 1 to 8 children. We obtained their contacts from the local social fund who directed them to us on the basis of them living alone in poverty with their many children. Once we started working with the mothers, we were able to establish contact with other mothers whose contacts were given to us from those we have already been working with or through various social organisations.
We make sure to visit each mother who is put in touch with us to ensure that they are really in need of support, before adding them to our program.
